Michelle Bassanesi is Australian and currently lives in Italy. She started flying paragliders in 1990 and airplanes in 2000. She is currently a part-time Flight Instructor for the Rome Aero Club. Michelle is a very grateful recipient of multiple scholarships that have helped her along her career. She has both FAA and JAA Commercial Multi/Single instrument certificates as well as JAA and FAA instructor ratings. She is currently an International Liaison for WCA and very involved in creating opportunities for women who wish to enter aviation as a profession in Europe www.aweu.org.
