Joanne "Jo" Damato graduated from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1997 with a B.S. in Aviation Management/Flight Option Specialization and obtained a Masters of Aeronautical Science Degree with a dual specialization in Aviation Safety and Aviation Management from Embry-Riddle in 2004. She also holds a Single and Multi-Engine Land Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot Certificate, and is a Certified Flight Instructor. Jo currently works for NBAA as Director, Operations & Educational Development. In addition, Jo is the NBAA Staff Liaison for the NBAA Schedulers and Dispatchers Committee. She is active with the Capital Region Chapter of Women in Aviation International and the Florida Tech College of Aeronautics Alumni Board. She resides in Northern VA with her husband, Berty, who flies for Delta Airlines, and their two young sons. Jo is the NBAA Liaison for WCA.
